Who is this for?
Plumbers and heating engineers who want their website to just work, without thinking about it.
Maybe you have said one of these:
- "I do not have time to log in and change things. I am under a sink most of the day."
- "My last web guy disappeared and nobody can change the prices on my site."
- "I got an email saying my hosting expired and the site went offline for a week."
- "I want to add my new WaterSafe membership but I do not know how."
What do you get?
Fast, secure hosting:
your site hosted on quick servers with an SSL certificate, so the padlock shows and pages load fast on a phone.
Updates and security patches:
the software behind the site kept current so it stays safe and working.
Regular backups:
copies of your site taken on a schedule so we can roll back if anything goes wrong.
Small edits by email:
send us a change, such as new prices, a photo, opening hours or a new accreditation, and we make it.
Uptime monitoring:
we are alerted if the site goes down, rather than finding out from a customer.
No minimum term:
stay because it is useful, not because a contract says so.
What is included, and what is not?
It is worth being clear, so there are no surprises.
Hosting and SSL certificate
New pages or sections
Software and security updates
Full redesigns
Regular backups and restores
Ongoing SEO and AI visibility
Small text and photo edits
Google Ads management
Uptime monitoring
Copywriting for new services
Help by email
Domain renewal fees
Domain renewals are paid by you, to your registrar, because the domain is yours. We can remind you when it is due.
What counts as a small edit?
Anything that changes what is already on a page rather than adding a whole new one. Typical examples:
- Changing call-out guidance or price ranges.
- Swapping in new photos from recent jobs.
- Adding a manufacturer accreditation you have just been granted.
- Updating holiday opening hours around Christmas.
- Fixing a typo a customer spotted.
If a request is bigger than that, we tell you before doing any work and send a fixed price.
Why does any of this matter for a plumbing site?
Because an out-of-date site costs you work. A customer who sees last year's prices, an old phone number or a membership logo you no longer hold will either ring someone else or lose trust. Out-of-date accreditation logos are also a Trading Standards issue: only display what you are currently entitled to. We know the rules on membership logos and keep them in mind when making edits, though you remain responsible for what the site says.
And a hacked or offline site does not just lose enquiries. It can lose ground on Google too, which takes time to win back.
Why not just host it yourself?
You can, and some plumbers do. Cheap hosting packages look tempting at a few pounds a month. The catch is everything around them: renewals, plugin updates, security fixes, backups and the evening you lose trying to change a price. Most tradespeople we speak to would rather be pricing a boiler swap than reading a hosting control panel. The care plan simply hands that whole job to us for a fixed monthly fee.
How does it work?
- Sign up: tell us through the quote form that you want the care plan, either with a new build or for an existing site.
- Move or set up hosting: we move your site onto our hosting or set it up fresh, with no downtime where we can avoid it.
- Send changes by email: whenever you need an edit, email hello@wellplumbedwebsites.com and we confirm when it is done.
- Leave whenever you like: give notice and we help you move the site and domain wherever you want.
How is the care plan priced?
It is £50 a month, billed monthly. For sites we did not build, we look first and confirm in writing whether any one-off work is needed before we can take it on.
That price is the same for a sole trader and a multi-van firm. If you have a very large site with frequent changes, we will talk to you about whether a different arrangement makes more sense, rather than quietly charging more.

Frequently asked questions
What does the plumber website care plan cost?
It costs £50 a month. That covers hosting, updates, backups and small edits, with no minimum term.
Can I cancel the care plan?
Yes, any time. There is no minimum term, and because you own your domain and website, you can move them elsewhere if you leave.
What counts as a small edit?
Changes like updating prices, swapping photos, adding a new accreditation you hold, changing opening hours or tweaking a paragraph. New pages or redesigns are quoted separately.
Do I need the care plan if you build my site?
No, it is optional. Some clients host elsewhere, but most choose it so they have one place to send changes and nothing to worry about technically.
Can you look after a site you did not build?
Sometimes. We take a look first, and if the site is in a state we can maintain safely, we will say so in writing. If not, we will explain why.
What happens if my site goes down?
We are alerted and look into it. Because we take regular backups, we can restore a working version if something breaks.
Does the care plan include SEO?
No. The care plan keeps the site running and up to date. Ongoing SEO, AI visibility and Google Ads are separate monthly services.
